Day Trip Details
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Nerja and head to Cómpeta, located about 45 minutes by road, through mountains with spectacular views. Are you ready to discover this beautiful white village in a small group?
Upon arrival in Cómpeta, you'll have 30 minutes of free time, and then we'll have a guided tour of about 1.5 hours to discover its history and traditions. We'll stroll through the old quarter of the town, nestled in the heart of the Almijara mountain range. Its Andalusian past and its wine tradition will captivate you. We'll also pass by some shops where you can buy artisan products such as honey and olive oil.
Afterwards, we'll go to a traditional family winery, managed by the fourth generation of winegrowers, where you'll learn about the wine-making process, especially the Muscat of Alexandria and the Romé grape, typical varieties of the area. The quality of these wines is so appreciated that they were even served at the royal wedding between Felipe VI and Letizia Ortiz.
To round off the 2-hour visit, we'll have a tasting of 4 wines, dry and sweet, paired with cold tapas made with local products, a delicious experience that will make you appreciate even the flavour of this land even more.
Finally, we'll return to the same hotels, and we'll say goodbye after 6 hours of activity.
