Travel from Florence to Rome by high-speed train and enjoy a guided tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill on a day trip to the Eternal City!

Activity Details

At the indicated time, you'll depart on a high-speed train from Florence-Santa Maria Novella Station. Are you ready to travel to the Italian capital?

After 1.5-hour journey, you'll arrive at Roma-Termini station. From there, you'll make your way to the Colosseum, where a guide will be waiting to take you on a tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill—the three emblems of Ancient Rome!

This 2.5-hour walking tour will begin at the Colosseum, which includes admission. Throughout the tour, we'll discover the ancient stands of the Flavian Amphitheater to learn how the bloody gladiator fights that took place in this arena were carried out.

Next, we'll head to the Palatine Hill to view the remains of the ancient houses of the Roman emperor from the outside. Right at the foot of this colony is the Circus Maximus, where the popular chariot races were held.

We'll continue the tour with a walk through the Imperial Forum. From outside, we'll see the remains of the Forum of Augustus and Trajan, where the iconic column dedicated to the first Spanish emperor stands.

After this tour of the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill, you can explore Rome at your leisure. We recommend visiting the Piazza Navona, seeing the Trevi Fountain, strolling through the square of St. Peter's Basilica, having a drink in the picturesque Trastevere neighborhood... The options are endless in the Eternal City!

Your free time in Rome will depend on the time you choose for your train back to Florence.
